Extravaganza - Soul Clap
Boy do we have something for you! Niconé & Sascha Braemer are finally back! Stil vor Talent announced the release of “Stay” featuring Limon and we were the very lucky ones to get our hands on it early. ‘Stay’ is a very lush, warm and groovy builder with amazing vocalwork and a break that really cuts through the bone. A beautiful melodic piece with an excellent drive. ‘Tell Me’ on the other hand is a much more peak hour oriented track with a bigger focus on bass and rolling chords, again featuring Limon. A fantastically efficient track to go crazy on. Lastly, Henry Saiz turned this one in a nice and dreamy track with a retro vibe thanks to the great synthwork and amazing touches on the vocals. It was well worth the wait: three quality pieces on this one!
We already announced it last week: We’re very proud to be the ones to fully premiere the title track “Stay” two days before the actual release. Check it out below and tell us on our Facebook page what you think.

Following the success of their ‘Earl’ EP on Switzerland’s Hive Records, Berlin-based House staple, Oliver $, reunites with Swiss Jazz House aficionado, Jimi Jules, to bring their anticipated, debut release on Defected, ‘Pushing On’.
‘Pushing On’ opens with an infectious percussive medley composed of tropical triangles and melodious 808-like cowbells. With the gradual introduction of the moody, Frankie Knuckles inspired bass line and tailing piano chords, the track slowly transform into an energetic homage to classic Chicago House.
Quick to take centre stage, the track also features dusky vocal samples from English Soulful Jazz revival band, The Quantic Soul Orquestra. Merging effortlessly with the wispy cymbal crashes, the song’s title and central lyrical theme, “Pushing On”, falls and confidently rises to drive the track to its spirited climax.
Already household names in their home countries, ‘Pushing On’ is sure set to solidify Oliver $ and Jimi Jules as international House providers. ‘Pushing On’ also includes a dub version of the original.
